McCann Demand’s Coral Care makes waves with two LIA wins

We’re excited to announce that McCann Demand and Stream2Sea have won two LIA Awards for the groundbreaking innovation, Coral Care—the world’s first reef-safe sunscreen.

Receiving both a Silver and a Bronze award at the London International Awards (LIA) in the Health and Wellness categories for Innovation and Prototype, these wins come a few months after the team secured a Bronze Cannes Lion at this year’s Festival of Creativity, also in an innovation category.

Coral Care is the world's first sunscreen that not only protects your skin from UV rays but also nourishes endangered coral reefs. Developed in partnership with Stream2Sea, a company dedicated to creating biodegradable skin, sun, and hair care products, this innovative sunscreen uses a mineral-based formula that is safe for marine life. It also introduces the Reef Protection Factor (RPF) certification, which identifies genuinely reef-friendly products. By setting a new industry standard, the RPF certification promotes transparency and responsibility in sunscreen manufacturing.

We were thrilled to host the LIA at a recent trophy presentation to receive these awards. Check out the team picking up their Bronze and Silver trophies below.
