Acer Swap argh for ahh

Acer wanted to bring more users into the tech category by bringing forward their projected timeframe to upgrade their laptop. This meant a shift from coping with a laptop that would just make-do, to feeling like they wanted the latest kit right now.

We needed to show laptop users the error of their ways, showing the drawbacks of using old, decaying laptops. Once they were primed, we then tempted them by showing that a Chromebook was the better alternative.​ Using comedy, we were able to keep our campaign light-hearted and fun, whilst drawing hilarious attention to the all-too-common issues users face.

With more people considering a switch, those who watched the ad were 58% more likely to consider an Acer Chromebook vs. those who didn’t.​

That consideration also converted to action too, as we drove more traffic to our partner retail sites.
